Lockout & Safety Tags from TSh 12,000
Lockout/tagout (LOTO) tags are a critical part of any safe isolation procedure — they warn workers that equipment is being serviced and must not be operated. Magno Tanzania produces OSHA-compliant, tear-resistant safety tags for mines, factories, workshops, utilities and construction sites.
Tag types we produce:
- Lockout Tags — Danger, Do Not Operate; attach to an isolated lock or switch (red / white).
- Danger Tags — Hazardous Energy, High Voltage, Do Not Start (red / black / white).
- Out of Service Tags — Out of Service, Do Not Use, Under Maintenance (red / white).
- Equipment ID Tags — asset numbers, machine IDs, inspection status (custom colours).
Every tag comes with:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 compliant colours and layout.
- A choice of tear-resistant material — polyester, vinyl, polypropylene or economy cardstock.
- Optional writeable panel for names, dates and details.
- Reinforced hole with a nylon zip tie, metal grommet or self-laminating flap.
- Single or double-sided printing.
- Standard 75×125mm size, plus small, large and custom sizes.
- Weather- and chemical-resistant for harsh industrial environments.
- Low 5-tag minimum, with bulk pricing for site kits.
- Sequential numbering and company logos on request.
Choosing Material & Attachment
For safety tags, the two decisions that matter are the material (how tough and chemical-resistant it is) and the attachment (how securely it stays on the equipment).
Material
- Polyester (Tear-resistant) — the industry standard. Tough, durable, writeable.
- Vinyl (Weather-resistant) — flexible and water-resistant for outdoor isolation points.
- Polypropylene (Chemical-resistant) — for chemical plants, fuel and process areas.
- Cardstock (Economy) — budget option for short-term or indoor use.
Hole / Attachment
- Reinforced Hole + Zip Tie — the standard; a tamper-evident nylon tie secures the tag.
- Reinforced Hole Only — for your own ties, hooks or padlock hasps.
- Metal Grommet — a rust-proof eyelet for heavy-duty, repeated use.
- Self-Laminating Flap — a clear flap seals over hand-written details to protect them.
Writeable Surface
A writeable panel lets the person applying the tag add their name, the date, and why the equipment is isolated — a core LOTO requirement. Choose "Yes" for lockout and danger tags; pre-printed only is fine for fixed equipment IDs.
