Why embroidery beats print for uniforms

Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the fabric with polyester thread, so it survives years of washing, sun and field work without fading, cracking or peeling. It's the standard finish for staff who wear their uniform daily — banks, hotels, security firms, mines, schools and clubs.

  • Premium, professional look — raised, textured logo that signals quality.
  • Extremely durable — outlasts the garment itself in most cases.
  • Works on tough fabrics — polos, sweatshirts, fleece jackets, caps and aprons.
  • Colour-fast — thread colour never washes out.
  • Best for logos & text — clean on small-to-medium marks; photos are better as print (see T-Shirt Printing).

Understanding stitch count

Stitch count is the real driver of embroidery cost. A simple left-chest logo is roughly 5,000–8,000 stitches; a detailed crest or large back logo can exceed 25,000. Our size tiers map to these ranges so the price you see reflects the actual machine time.

Embroidery techniques

  • Flat (Standard) — classic flat stitching, ideal for chest logos and text.
  • 3D Puff — raised foam-backed stitching for bold, dimensional logos (popular on caps).
  • Applique — a fabric patch stitched onto the garment; great for large designs as it saves stitches.
  • Tonal (Tone-on-Tone) — thread matched to garment colour for a subtle, premium finish.

Garment guidance

Pique polos and heavier cotton hold embroidery best. Light jersey t-shirts can be embroidered but use a backing stabiliser. For very light fabrics or photo-realistic artwork, printing is usually the better choice.

How ordering works

  • 1. Configure & add to cart — pick garment, technique, size, placement and quantity.
  • 2. Send your logo — upload a vector file (AI/EPS/PDF) or an existing stitch file (.DST). We digitize new logos once (TSh 35,000).
  • 3. Approve a stitch-out sample — we confirm thread colours and placement with you before bulk runs.
  • 4. Production & delivery — we stitch, quality-check and dispatch from Geita.

To speed things up, have ready:

  • Your logo file (vector preferred) and any brand thread colours (Pantone refs help).
  • Exact placement (e.g. left chest) and size in cm.
  • Your size breakdown (XS–5XL counts).

Production & delivery times

Embroidery takes a little longer than print because each piece is individually stitched. Standard production is 5–7 working days after sample approval; large orders may need more. Express options are available at checkout.

  • Geita — same-area pickup or local delivery.
  • Mwanza — 1–2 days after dispatch.
  • Dar es Salaam / Arusha / Dodoma — 2–4 days via courier.
  • Other regions — quoted on order.

Digitizing (first-time logos) adds about 1 day before production begins.
